Since I first colored my hair last fall, I’ve been looking for a new shampoo and conditioner to help protect my color. After I spend all this time and money on coloring my hair, I want to make sure it lasts and my hair stays healthy and hydrated.  I’ve been using the Hair Food Sulfate Free Color Protect collection, and I love how the shampoo and conditioner makes my hair look and feel using only pure ingredients.

Hair Food products are inspired by the nutrition found in power foods to fuel your beauty routine by blending naturally-inspired ingredients and fragrances to revitalize your hair.  You feed your body with delicious, nourishing ingredients.  Why wouldn’t you feed your hair with healthy ingredients too??  All Hair Food products are free of harsh chemicals, parabens, mineral oils, silicones, sulfates and dyes (dependent on the collection).

The Hair Food Sulfate Free Color Protect collection gently cleanses and conditions color treated hair for luxurious shine and is scented with the energy-packed ingredients of white nectarine and pear. They leave my hair feeling soft and looking shiny.  The shampoo has a really good lather, and both the shampoo and conditioner smell SO good!  These are products I can actually feel good about putting on my hair.  You wouldn’t put harsh chemicals in your body, so why would you put them on your hair?

Since I’ve been using Hair Food twice a week, I feel like my hair color is more vibrant and rich, and my hair is softer and more manageable too. Color can definitely dry out your hair so it’s important to restore the moisture to leave your hair soft and hydrated.  Do you have color treated hair?  What do you do to protect your color and keep your hair healthy?

You can find Hair Food products at a CVS near you! Learn more about the collections here.

  4. I don’t color my hair, but now that I’m 30 & the gray is coming in strong I think the time is coming 🙂 I will be keeping this in mind for sure!
