I h0pe everyone had a great Halloween! We had a fun night trick or treating with friends in their neighborhood, and then we stopped by several houses in our own neighborhood afterwards. The kids and I had so much fun together! Maybe a little too fun. We got in bed right before 11:00pm, and I was exhausted! Up next – Thanksgiving! I love Thanksgiving because we get together with family, it’s much more low-key than other holidays, and you eat tons of good food! What’s not to love?

I go back and forth each year with dressing up and then dressing casual. It really depends on where we are celebrating and what the temps are lol. I’m still not sure which direction I’ll take this year, but if I end up dressing up, this outfit would be at the top of my list! 100% obsessed with this pretty wool blue skirt. It is warm and soft and comfy, and it’s the prettiest shade of blue. It’s such a flattering skirt! I paired it with this ribbed mockneck top. It is lightweight and soft and comfy, and it runs true to size. I have it in both black and cream. It’s a great classic in fall and winter!

Matt and I have several events and date nights coming up, and I’m definitely looking forward to wearing this skirt out quite a bit. I love the contrast of colors on it with the plaid. And it would look so great paired with pieces like a frilly silk blouse, a suede jacket, knee high boots. I think it is much more versatile than you may think. Wh at are you planning on wearing for Thanksgiving? How will you be celebrating?
