Thank you so much for all the wonderful tips yesterday on public speaking. I received a lot of great ideas, and I’ll be trying them out tomorrow in front of my boss and then next month in front of about 30 people. Wish me luck! You probably know I have been slacking on working out this summer, but especially since I started grad school. I told you yesterday that Shane and ran 2 miles on Sunday morning. After that I decided to start leaving my tennis shoes on the bench downstairs by the front door. Lately it has gotten to where I am not even making a conscious decision not to work out as much, I am not even thinking about it at all. I thought leaving my Brooks out would help remind me as soon as I walk in the door. I usually sit my purse on the bench and open the mail there. Yesterday when I got home, I saw them as soon as I walked in, and I went for a little over a mile run. It was only a mile, but a mile or two each day adds up. It only takes around 8-10 minutes of my time, so I can completely justify that. Now I need to get back to eating paleo. Does anyone have any new recipes? I usually stick with grilling meats or making paleo quiche or meatloaf. I would love to add some new recipes to my list though.
I also want to talk about
Poshlocket today. I have worn a couple of their pieces on here quite often, my favorite being my
spike bracelet. Poshlocket has some very fun, trendy and unique pieces, but they are also very affordable! Today I have partnered with Poshlocket to giveaway a $35 credit to one lucky reader! To enter the giveaway, just enter the rafflecopter widget below. Also, Poshlocket is having a great sale right now, and you can get 15% off any purchase with the code EXTRA15. Hint – my favorite

Fizz and Frosting
We don't follow a strict Paleo diet, but we do try to eat fewer grains and wheat products. I recently grilled up some steak with this chimichurri sauce and it was awesome!

We've also made chicken and sweet potato tacos using either lettuce wraps or just eating the taco "fillings" in a bowl without the wrap. Let me know if you try any of these. Enjoy!

Your Blouse is Beautiful, Laura: Fun, Chic & Unique. I also love the Shoes & your Flirty Skirt. I am also wearing a Flirty Skater-like Skirt, today. =)
And I have so much respect for people who can run, work out and such. It has never been my thing. Though I keep very active and walk a lot.
I LOVE your top!! So pretty. And I just discovered Shannon's blog a while back, she's so cute. Good luck with the paleo thing, I've heard awesome things about it but I'm a vegetarian so I don't think I'd really have a lot of options there haha!

So adorable! Love that blouse, and it looks great with the skirt. I have been slacking on my work outs this summer too. I have been trying to spend as much time as I can with the hubs before he starts law school back that I haven't been very concerned about. But he starts back tomorrow, so unfortunately I will have plenty of alone time to work out…

Girl, at least you are running!! I haven't done that in like….um years!! It's awful!! Great idea to put your shoes by the door!! 🙂 And love your version of color blocking….still can't believe your scored those shoes from eBay!!
My problem is def eating. I work out 5-6 times a week with Crossfit and running. I am doing a 1/2 marathon next weekend and I am so not ready due to a foot injury. For the first time in my life, I had to call my hubby to pick me up. I was so crushed!
In regards to Paleo recipes, my favorite blogs are Nom Nom Paleo & PaleOMG. They both have awesome recipes that are so tasty.

Love your top! This is a fun outfit!
Soooo glad I got this skirt! Now if I can just get something to go with it….your the best!
Great clash with the colour block blouse and stripe skirt, loving it! As for working out, since becoming a mom, I squeeze in the workout wherever I can – I even have a whole bathroom routine; squats in the shower anyone? ; )
