Leighton and I had a girl’s day yesterday and ended up making a stop off to visit
Alex from City Chic Living and her cutie Jack who is 6 days older than Leighton. We are working on a fall collaboration coming up soon, and of course we had to get a couple cute snaps in of Leighton and Jack together. = ) We shot with
Maddie Moree, a local Memphis photographer, and I love how the pictures turned out! The weather was beautiful yesterday so we decided to get a few outdoors pictures of me and Leighton together too. She wore her adorable new
Organic Minikins bloomers. If you love handmade clothing, you should definitely check them out. They have some of the cutest dresses and bloomers, and I love the patterns, especially all their floral prints. They also have matching headbands, but of course my stubborn little girl is on a headband strike right now. = ( We also wore matching bracelets from
Geo City Jewelry. Is there anything cuter than mommy and mini matching bracelets? Of course it went straight into her mouth because she thinks she is supposed to eat everything she sees, but I can’t wait to be able to buy her more jewelry as she gets older. = ) I think it is so perfect for pictures and special occasions. Now for my outfit, this
Project Gravitas vest…oh my goodness. It is amazing. I wasn’t sure about longline vests at first just because I am so short, but they really do work. I think they actually help to elongate my body, and layering always adds such great visual interest to an outfit too. You will definitely be seeing it a lot lately! P.S. Keep reading to see how to win 1 of 4
Project Gravitas vests!
Leighton and I really had such a fun weekend together! Saturday Shane pushed her in her first 5K (only my second one since before I was pregnant!) They finished in 29 minutes, and Shane got 3rd place in his age group. I finished in 32 minutes which was about 7 minutes slower than I used to be, but since I am practically starting over again at running, I was pretty proud of that time! It was also 3 minutes faster than my first 5K 2 weeks ago. Sunday, Leighton, my mom, my sister and I went to Disney on Ice to see Frozen. She could not take her eyes off the stage. She was singing and dancing the whole time. I am so glad we ended up going because I was definitely worried she was too young to even enjoy the show at first. She definitely had fun, and I might have even enjoyed the show as much as she did.
