A few weeks ago we had one of the best family vactions we have had in years. We went luxury glamping with the The Glamping Collective just right outside of Asheville, North Carolina. It was only a short 6 hour drive, and it was amazing. From the moment we turned into the property, the views were just astonishing. And then when we pulled up to our XL luxe dome, we immediately fell in love! The views just right outside our dome were so dreamy!
We had a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom dome that included absolutely everything we needed and more. There was a modern bathroom, a full kitchen and a huge living room with chairs and a pull-out sofa couch. The beds in the bathroom were so, so comfy! When we stepped right outside our dome, there was a hot tub that we loved spending everyday in. Walk down the stairs from our dome, and there was a spot set up with chairs, a grill and a firepit. And we can’t forget the several hiking trails right by our dome also. We went hiking 3 different days, rode bikes, grilled out and enjoyed the hot tub. We loved being outdoors here! 1.) You will have air conditioning! And heat in the winter. 100% worth it! There is nothing worse than trying to sleep in the heat and humidity outside.
2.) The beds are SO comfy. Seriously, we could have slept in these all day long if only the kids would have let us! They were that comfy.
3.) It’s very family friendly! There is so much to do here, and it’s the perfect spot for kids and families.
4.) You get all the views with all the conveniences. It’s a win win!
5.) You will love the modern, spacious bathroom that includes a spa-like shower. No going home dirty or taking a shower in the bath houses. You get a real shower with hot water!
6.) Say goodbye to bugs. You get to sleep and eat indoors, and the bugs aren’t invited. = )
7.) You will enjoy having a full kitchen to cook all your meals. This was huge for us! We love cooking, and the same goes for when we are traveling. It was so convenient with 3 kids to be able to cook for them each day.
8.) No set up is required (like with a tent or camper.) Just unlock your door, unpack your stuff and enjoy your vacation.
9.) There is so much to do just right outside in the outdoors. Hiking, cycling, hot tubbing, relaxing in the hammock, making s’mores. The possibilities are endless in this gorgeous spot.
10.) Glamping offers unique, one-of-a-kind accommodations. They have several different sizes of domes and glass houses, so there is really something for everyone.
This trip honestly is in our top 3 of all family vacations with the kids. The views were amazing, and the dome was just so unique. We loved feeling like we were in the middle of nowhere with gorgeous views and all the modern conveniences. We will definitely be coming back to Asheville again, and we will definitely go glamping again. It is great for a family trip, a couple’s trip or even a girls’ trip. Have you ever been glamping?
