I know, I know, Labor Day weekend has nothing to do with patriotic red, white and blue colors, but I can’t help but want to wear my red white and blue for all the summer holidays. It’s such a fun way to wear some of my favorite pieces and get my money’s worth in too. This is real life y’all! I am notorious for doing that with the kids too. = ) Please tell me it’s not just me though lol!
Anyways, I love this pretty little Draper James dress so much I just had to squeeze in wearing it some more before the cooler temps start making their way to Memphis in a month or so. I am absolutely in love with the pretty shade of blue and the stripes. And that ricrac is just adorable! It’s such a fun little feminine dress with a drop waist silhouette. It’s super cute and super flattering. You can easily dress it up with heels like I did, or you can throw on some sneakers with it too.
We are headed to the lake for Labor Day weekend with our closest family and cannot wait! We plan to ride the waverunner, swim, cook and just play with the kids all weekend long. It’s going to be a blast! I’m packing this dress for a night out, but I plan to mainly be in swimsuits all weekend and am ready for it! What are your plans for Labor Day weekend? Such a sweet dress. I haven’t seen ric rac braid for many years. When I was at school the first and probably only thing I made was a gathered gingham skirt with ric rac braid arond the hem and the pocket. Thank you for the memories!
