Right now Dollywood’s Harvest Festival is going on, and it’s such a fun time to visit! The park is decked out with pumpkins galore, fall treats, spooky decorations and even some of the biggest pumpkins in the world! We saw a real pumpkin over 1,000 pounds. It was pretty cool! On top of all your favorite year-round Dollywood attractions and activities, the excitement of fall makes it even more fun!
We just got back from Dollywood for Fall Break, and it was an absolute blast, and I was reminded why Dollywood is the best amusement park in the U.S. Just like Dolly Parton herself, the park has so much heart, and you can’t help but love it! I go to Dollywood every year, but I hadn’t been back with all 3 kids in 3 years, so it was such a treat! And even though I was nervous about going there without Matt with 3 kids, I had nothing to worry about! Dollywood really is the best family friendly park! Keep reading for what I love most about Dollywood.
1.) This park is SO family friendly! If you have young kids, I 100% recommend Dollywood as your first amusement park for the entire family!
2.) It is Christ centered. You will hear Christian music being played throughout the park, and they even have Christian bands play live at select days/times.
3.) There are bathrooms around most every corner. You will never have to walk more than a few minutes to get to a bathroom. They even have family restrooms. And I can’t forget the nursing stations. They even have calming rooms for children who experience sensory overload. Win win!
4.) They have food, drinks and water refill stations located every few minutes apart also.
5.) There are several areas specifically for young children like Wildwood Grove and County Fair. They even have several playgrounds for the kids – Granny’s Garden, the Pig Pen, and Lil’ Pilots Playground.
6.) They have wheelchair accessible areas all throughout the park.
7.) They have strollers for rent, and they have stroller parking right beside each ride. A single stroller is only $16 which is very reasonable.
8.) They have so many fun seasonal events and also live music. Right now the Great Pumpkin Luminights event is going on too.
9.) The hospitality is hands down the best here! The employees are all so happy and nice, and everything here feels so laidback. You don’t feel like you have to rush from place to place. It just feels nice, chill and calm here compared to other large amusement parks.
10.) You can have an even better experience and upgrade your experience with TimeSaver passes. This is great if you have small kids too! When we were here, it was $60 plus tax per person to expedite access in lines on select rides. 100% worth it!
