Have you been wanting to hang holiday wreaths on your dining or kitchen chairs? It had been on my list for years, but I was worried it would be so much money and so much work. But then I found these affordable but realistic looking mini wreaths and this affordable velvet ribbon, and I finally decided to do it. But then I realized I had no idea how to actually hang them since almost the entire back of my chair is closed with these Serena & Lily counter stools. I was stumped how exactly to hang them. There are several ways to hang them, but the way I used was quick and easy, inexpensive, and they have stayed put!

One great way to hang them is to just wrap thick ribbon around the back and front of the chair like you’re wrapping a present and then tie it around the wreath and then tie the bow. But I worried that the ribbon would move around and would’t stay put. I also worried I would need a wider ribbon, but I really wanted to use this ribbon I bought. I ordered a pack of safety pins and just wove it through the back of the chair and snapped it shut. I made sure I picked the middle of the chair near the top. From there I decided how long I wanted each ribbon to be, and I cut them. Then I held up the wreath, threaded the ribbon through the safety pins and around the top of the wreath. Then I tied a knot and then tied a bow. Voila, it was that easy and quick! Hop on over to instagram to see a video tutorial.

I am so so happy with how they turned out and wish I would have added these to my decor years ago! They were probably the quickest Christmas decoration I hung up. = ). Will you be adding chair wreaths this year?
