What It’s Like Camping in an Airstream with Autocamp Russian River, California

You might remember last year that Matt and I stayed with Autocamp for the first time in Cape Cod. We absoltuely LOVED our stay so much that we immediately booked a stay last year to visit Autocamp Russian River this year. We have been counting down for almost a year, and it didn’t disappoint! We love absolutely everything about staying in an airstream! We actually already have a trip booked at the new Asheville, North Carolina location soon with all the kids too.

This Autocamp is located in Sonoma County in Guerneville, California. It is about an hour outside of Napa, and the town is so cute! They have the cutest little downtown area, some great restaurants and shops, and I love how laidback it is. We got in plenty of walking while here, and Autocamp even has free bikes you can ride while here. They also have a little community area with firepits, hammocks, swings, picnic tables and more. The resort is nestled in the Sequoia trees, and it is just gorgeous here!

The resort has yurts, tents and airstreams. We booked the Redwood Suite, and it came with its own wood-fired hot tub, picnic table and firepit for cooking. Once inside the airstream, there was just enough room with a kitchen with a mini fridge and microwave, a spa-like shower, a bedroom and a couch that folds out into a bed in the living room. The layout inside was just like the airstream we stayed in last time. We absolutely loved camping in the airstream and being so close to nature each morning when we woke up. It was so peaceful, relaxing and comfortable.

We loved starting a fire and relaxing in the hot tub at night after cooking dinner. And we loved waking up in the mornin to the sound of nature outside. It was so nice disconnecting with all the world and reconnecting with nature and the outdoors for a few days. And Autocamp was just perfect for us on our adventure! If you are a fan of camping or think you might like glamping, I 100% recommend trying out some of the Autocamp locations. They have added several new ones over the past year and have several more opening soon. It will be an unforgettable experience, and it’s great for couples or even for entire families. They have multiple different accommodation types that will fit your life too. And it is seriously the cutest little town with some so many great spots nearby like Sonoma, Napa and Jenner.

On our last morning, we drove about 30 minutes over to Jenner on the coast of California. They have some great hiking, and the views are just incredible overlooking the cliffs and the water. It’s a short quick drive from Autocamp, and I highly recommend you make a stop there next time you’re nearby. That’s what I love about Autocamp so much. It’s such a great way to glamp in nature but still go out and explore nearby each day and explore the neighboring towns and hike. Have you stayed with Autocamp before?
