Situated only 4 hours from Memphis is Terralodge Treehouse Resort in Monteagle, Tennessee! When I found out we had a glamping spot this close to Memphis, I was SO excited to check it out! This was the perfect opportunity to get away for a couple days and relax in nature, and we did just that! Terralodge is filled with several different accomodations – luxe domes, legacy treehouses, large cabins and Scandanavian treehouses, what we stayed in. If you are looking for a cozy little treehouse for a couple’s trip, this is it!
The little treehouses are so cute and modern. They might be small, but they have everything you need inside – a stovetop burner, a mini fridge, an ice maker, a coffee maker, all the pots, pans and utensils you would need, a microwave, a shower, a hot tub, a grill and a Solo Stove firepit. When you walk in, you immediately walk into the kitchen area that connects to a bathroom and the living room. The living room has a sofa bed, and there is a ladder that leads upstairs to a small loft area that has just enough space for another bed. It’s such a fun spot if you want to take a solo trip with one of your older kids too. It was so neat!
Out back was the hot tub, the firepit and the grill. The deck had privacy curtains up on each side and a beautiful view of the wooded trees. The area was so serene and peaceful. I loved enjoying my morning coffee out there and getting in my workouts each day on the patio. Around the treehouse was several trails and community areas too. They have picnic tables and adirondack chairs to relax in or enjoy meals outdoors too.
We loved spending our time outdoors while here. It warmed up to about 70 degrees, and the resort was the perfect spot to get in lots of hiking and walking. We racked up 18,000 steps just in 1 day! My favorite things about the resort was the vicinity to Memphis, the great amenities and appliances and just how peaceful it was. Next time we will probably make sure to get a dome or large cabin so we can all fit, but it is 100% perfect for you and your spouse or friend. Check it out and let me know what you think.
