I’ve been wanting to hang some pretty boxwood wreaths on blue ribbon since last fall, and I did, but I realized that I never even shared them here. That leads to me today’s post. I think so many people think that they are only for Christmas, but that is definitely not true. While so many people do hang them at Christmas-time, they are definitely for year-round use. These that I hung today are faux, but boxwoods are evergreen and look great any time of the year. On our front door, we have a preserved boxwood wreath too, and it stays up year-round. The trick to year-round use is to make it look a little more springy!
First I found some affordable mini boxwood wreaths. There are so many out there, but I loved that these were only $26, but the quality is really great! Next I picked out this thick blue velvet ribbon to add around the wreath. Again, the quality on this ribbon was just so good. It’s such a pretty blue color, and I knew I would easily be able to use it for several purposes in my house. I took the ribbon off my wreaths that came on them. Then I looped the pretty ribbon around the wreath and cut a tiny little hole in the middle top of both ribbons. I added this small hook on the inside of my cabinet door upside down and then poked the hook through the ribbon hole. Viola! It’s that easy. It looks so good. And…you can use it year-round as the perfect decor!
