Festival season is in full swing!  I love this time of year – the music, the festivals, the friends and lots of good food!  Music festivals are definitely fun and something to add to your to-do list each spring, but they can also be tiring, muddy and stressful.  If you’re lucky, a festival is close enough to home so you can drive up for the day, or you can stay in a hotel.  If you’re a hardcore festival goer though, you will definitely want to pack a tent too.  If you’re planning on attending one this year and have no idea what to look forward to, don’t worry, I’m sharing my best music festival tips to help you prepare and pack for this festival season.
1.  Pack a light dress and a backup casual outfit.  Most likely it will be HOT.  So you will definitely want something lightweight.  I love white – it’s the perfect carefree summer color and great for the warm weather while still giving off that casual festival vibe.  Of course, be prepared afterwards for cleaning up that pretty white outfit, as you might also be sitting on the ground or jumping in the crowd.
2.  Pack heels AND sandals or sneakers.  Sure, you want to look cute in your heels, but trust me, you might at some point wish you had on flats like sandals or sneakers.
3.  Don’t forget your sunscreen and a hat!  You will most likely be in the sun all day long or all weekend, so protect your skin!
4.  Definitely carry a rain jacket or poncho and rain boots.  I don’t know about your weather, but here in Memphis, it rains a lot in the spring.  And our music festivals almost ALWAYS consist of rain, and lots of it too.  So do yourself a favor and pack some rain gear just in case it turns into a mud fest.
5.  Throw insect repellant in your bag.  This is something I sometimes forget, and I regret it every time.
6.  Carry wet Wipes.  So much easier than hand sanitizer, and it will work to not only clean your hands but even spilled food off your clothing or mud off your feet.  = )
7.  Don’t forget to take a cooler packed with water.  Hydrate!
8.  Carry a crossbody bag or backpack.  This way you can be hands free, and they’re harder for someone to snatch also.
9.  Bring an extra battery pack for your phone.  Your phone will die.  You will want to IG story the entire festival, so come prepared.
10.  Invest in a really good detergent like Tide PODS.  You will definitely need these when you get back from the festival, so make sure you are stocked up on them!  When that white dress turns into a brown dress (and it was your favorite dress), you will be so glad you have the toughest stain fighting detergent, Tide.
Whether you’re needing to keep your whites white or your darks dark, Tide PODS is the toughest laundry detergent to keep your clothing clean.  Shane and I have been using Tide our entire lives.  When PODS came it years ago, it was a no brainer to switch.  They are small, convenient but still tough on stains.  I love not having to pour liquid or powder and make a huge mess.  Tide PODS is specially formulated with HE Turbo technology that contains quick collapsing suds and targets tough stains on both whites and colors.  So you can use them on front and top loading washing machines, both standard and high efficiency.
Tide PODS may be small, but I promise they definitely don’t skimp on their cleaning power.  Did you know that Tide is actually America’s number 1 detergent?  Whether you’re trying to clean the mud out of your white dress or keep your colors bright and new looking, Tide will do both.  So no matter if you’re going to a music festival or just doing your hubby’s work laundry, Tide is the only detergent you need with its compact size and convenience.  And the best thing about Tide Pods is that you never have to compromise what you’re wearing for fear that you may get dirty.  Don’t be held back from living in the moment because you’re worried about getting your clothes dirty!  So go ahead and rock that white dress that you’ve been eyeing to the music festival because you can trust that Tide Pods will clean it.  Are you planning on going to any festivals this spring?  Do you have any music festival tips? Have you tried Tide PODS?
