Date Night at the Plaza Hotel NYC

Last week Shane and I visited New York City for just a couple days before we had to drive over to Connecticut for a wedding.  We only had a couple days, but we really tried to make the most of it and soak up all things NYC.  Shane and I were lucky enough to stay at the Plaza hotel NYC, and we immediately felt like kids on Christmas morning the moment we walked into the hotel lobby.  It really was magical!  We had dinner at the Rose Club overlooking the lobby, and it was such a great spot with a great view to see all the people walking around outside and in the hotel lobby.

To help get Shane and I get ready for date night, we had a little visit from Glamsquad at our hotel.  I cannot say enough good things about how awesome it is to have 3 people come right to your hotel room, give you a blowout and hairstyle, manicure and pedicure.  Even Shane loved it,  He got to just relax in his room in his robe while getting a manicure.

After we got all prettied up, I decided to go with a tried and true LBD in a pretty dot print for our date night.  And then I finished up with the new Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil.  If you haven’t tried this lip oil yet, you absolutely have to!  You can apply it before lipstick for a smooth application, wear it alone for soft, hydrated lips or add it on top of any lip color for added shine.  I am a big lipstick and lip balm wearer because of the rich color, but I always miss a good glossy shine that I just can’t get from lipstick.  I love how the applicator feels so soft and velvety, and the lip oil goes on so silky smooth.  I went with mint for a clear pout that has a nice cooling sensation, and it’s the perfect finishing touch for date night.  What are your favorite date night places in NY?  Have you ever been to the Plaza Have you tried Clarins new Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil?
