Happy Wednesday!  Did everyone have a great 4th of July?  It rained off on most of the day yesterday, but we still got in just a little bit of pool time over at my sister’s house, and Leighton had a ball.  I’m not going to lie though, after 5 days off it was SO tough to get up at 5:00 and drag my butt to the gym to meet with my personal trainer and then to work.  At least it’s a short week though, right?  = )

One of my sweet blogger friends, Ashlee from Little Lovelies, and I got to meet up again this past month while we were both in Dallas.  We wanted to show a couple ways to style some of the trendiest fashion prints of the season this year – palm prints, stripes, gingham and block heels.  When it comes to fashion prints, I have a soft spot for print mixing, so it was pretty much a no brainer for me when I got this palm print top that I would pair it with these gingham shorts.  By the way, this top is only $16, a serious steal!  And I found these shorts at a Loft outlet last year, and I have definitely got my money’s worth out of them.  They pair with almost anything, and the adorable little scalloping adds such a fun detail.  They aren’t on the website anymore, but these are on sale for less than $40 and are super cute!
Since my palm print top is a little busy, I wanted to keep the fashion print on my shorts a little small and a little less busy.  And most anytime I wear shorts (maybe it has something to do with only being 5’2), I wear heels.  A casual summer sandal is best so it matches the casual style of the shorts.  That is where the block heel sandal comes in.  These sandals are just perfect for those casual summer looks.  They look great with jeans, shorts, rompers, jumpsuits and most anything else you can think of.  And they are SO comfortable and easy to walk in too, bonus!
And one of my favorite prints – stripes.  I am obsessed with Ashlee’s little romper!  I love that the direction of the stripes change to mix it up a bit.  And with her block heel sandals, it makes her look like she has legs for days, and we’re actually about the same height!  If you don’t have any of these fashion prints for summer yet, trust me, you will want to stock up.  They aren’t going out of style anytime soon.

    I have been seeing a lot about Kendra Scott lately and it's pretty cute stuff. I would like some jewelry. I usually buy the cheap stuff and my kids have broken most of my necklaces.

    I would love to have the Vera Bradley bag. Most women have tons of shoes, while I have a huge selection of purses. My husband is making a hanging wall in my closet so they will be easy to get to. Thanks for the super giveaway opportunity.

    I love Vera Bradley purses and already own two of them, but I don't have any Kendra Scott jewelry…so Kendra Scott jewelry is my first choice and Vera Bradley my second.
