Fruit infused water is all the rage right now, and I have loved making it for years. Don’t get me wrong, I genuinely love plain water with nothing added. But…adding a little fruit infused flavor without any added sugar makes it even more interesting and tasty. It’s great for when you’re looking for something just a little different with a little added taste and flavor.
How to Make Fruit Infused Water
First start with any regular pitcher, or you can get this water pitcher that is specifically made for infusing fruit. This one is pretty inexpensive, but you can also easily just use any old pitcher you already have in your panty. Next you will want to decide what fruit you’re going to use. There are so many great things you can add, but I love starting with fruits and adding in cucumber or mint. Orange and strawberry are some of my favorite fruits to add.
After you decide what items to add, fill your pitcher up with ice and water. Next, wash and slice up your fruit and vegetables you decide to use. I went with strawberry and cucumber. You can leave the peel on or off the cucumber, but this time I took the peel off. After slicing up the items you’re using, you will just add them to the pitcher and let the water start soaking up the flavors. After 24 hours, be sure to remove the fruit from your pitcher. Don’t worry, the water will still taste amazing!
I love it and so do the girls too! It’s so quick and easy to make too. If you end up making fruit infused water, let me know what you think. What are your favorite flavors to add to your fruit infused water?
