I rave all the time about how family friendly the Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee are, and I still stand behind that. Not only do our kids beg to go here each year, but Matt and I really love it too. You already know that the Smoky Mountain National Park is the most visited national park in the U.S., but on top of that, there are several other great places in the Smokies to visit. And depending on where you stay (a cabin, a glamping tent, a house, a hotel), you can get a completely different stay. It can be unique every time you visit! There is so much to do in the area, and each time we go, it seems they have opened a new place in the area. We try to add a new place our list each year, and last year we tried out Skyland Ranch for the first time.
We ended up going here twice last year, so YES, Skyland Ranch is 100% worth the money! With your ticket purchase at Skyland Ranch, you can ride the skyride up and down as many times as you want. And it includes one mountain coaster ride, but you can always purchase more. You can also purchase a hay ride and feed the animals. With your entry ticket, you get to ride the skyride up to the top, and then there is tons of fun up there that is included with your purchase!

Skyland Ranch is a 100 acre ranch with a chair lift, longest mountain coaster in the Southeast, animals you can feed and take pictures with, a hayride, live music and entertainment, a playground, gem mining, cornhole, a mountain overlook, a swing tower and tons of yummy food and drinks! There is SO much to do there, and they are constantly adding on more! Every time we go, there is a new addition, and I can’t wait to see what they have added this year already.
I loved how the kids had plenty to do here, but it wasn’t too big. It was just the right size to sit and enjoy the music while watching the kids play and feel safe. If you’re looking for a place with a family feel to it that isn’t huge and overcrowded, this is it! You could easily spend a day here. We have already spent a few days here and can’t wait to go back! And with entry, you get in 3 days in a row to enjoy everything that Skyland Ranch has to offer. 100% worth it!
