I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday! We started our day getting ready that morning at the house while watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade of course (a tradition!) Then I dressed Leighton in her new sweater (and I may have purposely matched her outfit to Shane’s new Nick Graham dress shirt that he wore.) = ) Then we ate lunch at Shane’s grandparent’s house, and then we ended the day at my aunt’s house for dinner. We had so much good food. Why is food that good only served one day out of the year?! We enjoyed visiting with family, and little Leighton’s feet never touched the floor. She was so good and basically slept all day. She loves riding in her car seat also! We were so nervous she would be up all night after napping all day, but she was in bed by 9:30 last night and slept 2-3 hours at a time.
I wanted to bring a dish to each place we visited yesterday, but let’s face it, I didn’t cook before a baby, so I surely don’t cook now. GiGi’s Cupcakes, in addition to cupcakes of course, is now offering 2 special pies for the holidays – Ginger snap pumpkin pie and southern comfort pecan pie. I pre-ordered them and picked them up on Wednesday. I went with one large pecan and 6 mini pumpkin pies. The minis were the perfect individual size for one person, and they were both so good. My favorite was definitely the pumpkin. I’m going to lie, yesterday was my first cheap day since eating paleo for the last 5.5 weeks. I did have one small serving of dressing, 1 mini cupcake, 1 mini pie, and everything else I ate was paleo. Not too bad if I say so myself! I just reached my pre-pregnancy weight after losing 38lbs yesterday, so I didn’t want to do anything to sabotage it. Now Leighton and I are getting ready to do a little Black Friday shopping today with my mom. Wish me luck that Leighton cooperates, and be sure to follow me on instagram and also check out the Black Friday sales I rounded up here. = ) Have a great weekend!

Wow – you are incredible with your lifestyle! I am so bad about living a Paleo lifestyle. I don't mind it but my boys do not like it at all so I end up eating what the eat and sabotage myself.
