Iced Lavender Latte

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup dried lavender
  • 4 oz coffee or espresso
  • 6 oz milk or creamer
  • ice

Instructions
 

  • Make lavender syrup by adding water, sugar and lavender to a saucepan.
  • Bring it to a boil and then lower temperature and let it simmer for 10 minutes until the syrup has thickened.
  • Remove saucepan from heat and let syrup thicken for at least half an hour.
  • Pour syrup through a strainer where you are left with only the syrup and no lavender buds. Set syrup aside.
  • Brew your favorite coffee or espresso. I chose espresso.
  • Fill a glass with ice and pour in your favorite milk or creamer, the syrup and coffee or espresso
  • Stir the drink to mix.
  • Top with more dried lavender and enjoy!
