Bikes, Slushies & Pools

Good morning ladies! I hope everyone had a great weekend! These are some of the photos from my weekend. Saturday I went to a pool party with my mom and wore my new Gracie B silk tunic as a bikini coverup. It worked perfectly, was light and airy, and I’m crazy about the beautiful floral print. After the party, Shane and I took the dogs for a nice walk on the riverwalk, and then we headed off on the golf cart. We picked up burgers to go from Tugs and then watched the sunset on the river.
Sunday we went to Hope Church. Even though we live further away now, it is definitely worth the drive there. After church we headed down the street to Shelby Farms to ride mountain bikes. We only rode about 6 miles, but it was hot and was a great stress reliever. We rode around Patriot Lake there and enjoyed the beautiful view of the water. Then we came across a while pond full of lily pads, and I just had to get a picture. I couldn’t believe how y’all they were. It was beautiful, and it was nice being out of the city for just a bit to visit our favorite park. There were a bunch of food trucks at the park, so we had to have slushies before we left. They actually called it water ice which we had never heard of. Has anyone else ever heard it called that before? After that we took the dogs for a walk to my mother-in-law’s house to do some swimming. It was a nice weekend since this coming one will be spent studying for my third and final credit certification for work. I’m ready to get it over with and enjoy my last month before grad school starts again.
Did you have a great weekend? Did anyone go out of town or have any big plans? Did you enter the Color Mix Necklace Giveaway? Do you have your bow outfit ready for the linkup tomorrow morning?

  1. Hi Laura! Started following your blog a few months back, based entirely on the name including something about Memphis. Love it. Plus, since my husband and I just left Memphis after being there 10 years (we lived on the Island too), you remind me of a little piece of "home." When you mentioned Hope Church in the blog this week, I had to comment and say that we too drove all the way out there for their awesome service every week. Totally worth the drive. Hope you have a wonderful week and looking forward to continuing following your blog!

  2. Sounds like a nice, relaxing weekend! I had a fantastic weekend too…lots of fun 🙂 Love your church outfit, so lady-like! And I'm pretty sure I have never heard of water ice.
