Indoor/Outdoor Refresh

We have lived in our house for almost 2 years now, but I’m sure you know how the list of projects just go on and on.  I’m not sure if it’s being pregnant or just my type A personality, but I decided it is about time to start getting some of these projects finished.  Project 1 was our screened in patio, and I would say we are completely finished with it and so happy with the finished look!  We already had all the furniture from Pier 1 from a couple of years ago, but I went to Marshalls for all my finishing touches.  I got these beautiful bright colored placemats, citronella candles and a drink dispenser.  You can ask Shane; I have been bugging him for a drink dispenser for at least a few years now!  I love all the bright colors out there now, and I think it finally looks finished and pulled together instead of just half decorated.
Project 2 was the master bedroom.  We had been wanting a new comforter for a few months now, and I knew I wanted to stick with white and green because I didn’t want to change the decor in our master.  I searched high and low at Marshalls a couple of weeks ago and found this amazing Ralph Lauren reversible comforter.  I think it is even better than what I had in mind.  It has stripes on one side and the floral print on the reverse side.  I used the floral print shams that came with it, and I already had the smaller green floral shams and the white pillow.  I think adding all those together creates a lot of interest visually.  I also love all the different textures and patterns together.  It has the clean, modern feel just like we wanted.  We also finally got our Pottery Barn photo wall hung up (after 2 years I might add.)  = )  Now it’s time to move on to Project 3, the back patio, and Project 4, the nursery.  Make sure you check out Marshalls to see how you can refresh your home and your outdoor entertaining area this summer!

  1. Both rooms look great! I love all the bright colors on your patio! And I do hear that when we get into the second trimester and on, we start to get crazy about getting things in order! I'm just starting to get to that point now!
