With all the beautiful weather we’ve been having lately, Leighton and I have been going to the park quite a bit lately.  I will usually push her in the stroller or pull her in the bike trailer, and then we like to play afterwards.  A couple weeks ago we headed to the park in Lakeland for a little picnic and finally got to try out our new JJ Cole diaper bag, outdoor blanket and carrier.

First of all, I LOVE the print on the diaper bag and the blanket.  It is bright and fun, but it’s not too girly to where Shane wouldn’t be caught dead carrying them too.  = )  They are coated polyester and nylon, so they’re easy to wipe down.  They are also soft and plush so Leighton can easily scoot around on the blanket (working on her crawling skills!)  = )  I think my favorite thing about them though is the size.  The diaper bag is 14.5×13.5×5.  It is the perfect size to throw everything for you and baby in it.  And the outdoor blanket is 7ft x 5ft!  It is the perfect size to fit the entire family, food, all your bags and anything else you may need too.  It will be perfect to take with us to the beach this summer and to the concert series at the Botanic Gardens.  Also, the entire blanket folds up into inself in the shape of a bag complete with carrying handle and pouch to make it even more convenient!

As much as I love pushing Leighton in the stroller, sometimes I just want to walk with her and carry her around outdoors (without getting a major arm workout.)  The JJ Cole carrier was perfect for this, and it isn’t one of those long, bulky complicated wraps either.  It slips on like a shirt, and then you just wrap one small piece of fabric on top of the carrier (for size reference, I am wearing a small.)  I’ve been wearing Leighton since she was about a week old, and she still loves it to this day.  I use a carrier with her every few days.  It is so nice to be hands free.  It makes her so content to be so close to me, and she loves being at my level and being able to see everything going on around us.  Make sure you check out Amazon, buybuyBABY, Babies R Us and Target for a great selection of JJ Cole items so you will be ready for all your outdoor activities with baby this spring and summer!  What summer activities do you have planned for you and baby this summer?
