Can you believe another month has just flown by?  I feel like I just got done posting pictures of Leighton, so I can only imagine how you feel having to see all my baby picture spam everyday!  = )  Once again, my friend Emily took Leighton’s photos a couple weeks ago.  She always does an amazing job, and I am even more impressed each time.  It really does make all the difference when you have someone you trust and call a friend to take the pictures.  I feel like she listens to me and really takes extra time to get everything I want (and I’ve heard I’m pretty hard to please.)  = )  Wow, a lot has happened in the last month.  Leighton still goes to bed between 8:15pm and 8:30pm, but she has been sleeping a little longer over the past few weeks.  Instead of sleeping 11 hours straight, she has been sleeping 12 hours most nights, sometimes a little more.  She cut out her third nap a couple of months ago, well now she has between 1-2 naps per day usually totaling 2-3 hours.  We’ve been out and about lately, so her nap time has varied, but they are always at least 2 hours.  She still puts herself to sleep at nap time and bed time when we lie her down awake.  She is still ebf 5 times a day or has a bottle.  She has been eating solids for dinner at 7:00pm since 6 months, and now she also has an extra meal of solids at noon for lunch too.  She just recently tried meatloaf, roast, purple hull peas, oranges, tomatoes, butternut squash and acorn squash.  I think the orange veggies are still her favorites along with bananas and avocado.  So far she hasn’t refused a food.  She loves to eat!  She loves to make noises when she eats and babbles until you give her more food.  She uses a regular spoon and loves feeding herself.  She crawls and pulls up all over the place.  She still only has her 2 front teeth.  She says Mama now.  Her new fun skill is waving bye bye, and she does it constantly.  She can drink out of a straw now too.  Leighton has finally about outgrown her tub, so she sits up in her 4moms tub to take a bath now each night.  She is still such a happy little girl, especially when she wakes up.  She hates getting her diaper changed now and won’t stay still.  She also hates getting dressed.  Any other time, she is all smiles.  She is still a mama’s girl and loves for me to hold her.  She still loves being outdoors, and her favorite toy right now is this car.  I still like to joke though that her favorite toy is me, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Remember this adorable outfit that Leighton wore last week featuring her Paisley Wren Designs leopard print headband?  Well, I have teamed up with them again for an awesome giveaway!  They are not just going to give away a shop credit, nor are they going to give away a few headbands.  They are going to give away a year’s supply of headbands!  The giveaway will include 12 headbands (one per month!) of assorted holiday/seasonal headbands that your little one can wear all year long.  That way, they will have a different headband for each month, season and holiday.  The headbands are adjustable and will fit anyone from approximately 3 months to 5 years old, so even if you have an older little girl, you can still enter!  Paisley Wren Designs makes some of the girliest and prettiest headbands I’ve ever seen.  I just love the prints they carry.  To enter, just use the rafflecopter widget below and good luck!  Which headband is your favorite from Paisley Wren Designs?  As a bonus, use code memphis25 for 25% off any order you place too!

    1. As far as the daytime routine, I knew I didn't want her to go longer than 3 hours before eating again. Since u went back to work at 6 weeks she was waking up around 8 so that just worked as the perfect time to take her first bottle. So she has a bottle at 8, 11, 2, 5 and 8. Then bed at 8:30. The babysitter helped a lot by making sure she fed her at each of those times and getting her on a schedule. I think the structure at daycare helped a lot too.
