Mama Daughter Style Series – Stripes, Boho Dresses & Bows, Oh My!

On Leighton: Viva Boho Kids Dress (VIVABOHO10 for 10% off your purchase) c/o // Target Jacket // Robeez Boots (on sale!) c/o // Pitchoun Designs Bow c/o
Good morning friends!  I’m so glad you’re here today for the Mama Daughter Style Series.  It really is one of my favorite series as I just love matching and taking pictures with Leighton, getting style tips from other moms and finding more ways to style a piece.  I am wearing another closet staple today, this striped tee from PopbasicLet’s get real honest here, I was worried I was going to look like a striped, stuffed sausage in this tee.  Not the case!  It is a little fitted, but it is actually very slimming.  The proof is in the pudding!  I love how soft and comfy this tee is, and it has the cutest little pocket on the chest to break up the design a little so it doesn’t maximize your chest (I don’t need that.)  I paired it with some of my go-to denim, this cardigan that I love to pair over most anything and these amazing silver lace-up flats.  This outfit was perfect for walking around downtown Arlington with Leighton.  It is definitely a great weekend outfit or casual Friday outfit if you switch out the jeans.
My sidekick is wearing one of my favorite dresses of all time from Viva Boho Kids.  Seriously moms, if you have not shopped at Viva Boho Kids, take just a moment to pop on over to their Etsy page.  They have some of the most adorable dresses, rompers and tunics.  If you love tassels or poms, this shop is for you.  Also, all items are handmade by the sweet owner in Australia, and the prices are very, very reasonable in my opinion!  Right now they are offering 10% off your entire purchase for all our readers with code VIVABOHO10 so make sure you use that when you place an order.  Since we had a cute boho vibe going on today with Leighton’s outfit, I put her in these cute and comfortable little Robeez boots.  And since Leighton loves her bows, she is wearing this adorable little blush pink Pitchoun Designs leather bow.  We also have this cheetah print one, and just like leopard, cheetah is a neutral too!  I knew if I was consistent enough she would eventually learn to love her hairbows, or just give up and realize that I have more patience than her.  = )  It worked.  One of her favorite words to say is bow, and then she just sits it on the right side of her head.  And then of course it falls off because she didn’t clip it in, but it is seriously the cutest thing in the world even though I’m biased.  = )  I’ve talked your head off enough today, so make sure you head on over to Chasing Davies, Lipgloss & Crayons and Sandy a la Mode to see how they styled their mama and daughter pieces too.  = )  Happy Wednesday and see you tomorrow!
