Gymboree Cardigan via ThredUP // Gymboree Leggings // Mooshu Squeaky Shoes c/o // Haleys Crochet Creations Bow c/o
You might remember me talking about ThredUP recently here. If you haven’t heard of ThredUP yet, they are basically an online consignment shop. They sell new and gently used women’s and kid’s name brand clothing items for up to 90% off! And they have a HUGE selection! Since you already heard me talk about why I love ThredUP for myself, today’s I’m going to talk about why ThredUP is especially perfect for buying baby and children’s clothes. You don’t even have to be a mom to know that babies grow up way to fast, and they outgrow their clothes even faster. Each season I have a handful or two of pieces that are still hanging in Leighton’s closet with the tags on them. By the time they are seasonally appropriate, she has already outgrown them. And when it comes to daycare, I don’t want to put her in any clothes that are remotely nice. She plays outside, and she plays hard. She wants to play in the grass, dirt, mud and leaves all day. She sure does clean up well though. = ) The last thing I want to do is spend a lot of money on brand new name brand clothes that will be stained from food and playing outdoors after only one wear.
This adorable little pink pom cardigan by Gymboree was only $4!! Leighton recently had a growth spurt and is already starting to outgrow this sweater in the length, but I only paid $4 for it, so it’s not that big of a deal. Just to name a few other deals I got for Leighton, I bought an adorable Ralph Lauren romper for this summer for $5, some Gap jeans for $3, some H&M sweater leggings for $4 and a faux fur trim poncho for $4 also! You really can’t beat that. I shop at some local resale sites and some other local resale stores in Memphis, and their prices aren’t even that great. Have you tried ThredUP yet?
