Leighton and I are back today and are teaming up with Payless again to show some of some of our favorite holiday style shoes (you can find our first post here styling some of our favorite everyday boots.) I am obsessed with these pretty laceup pumps! For some reason I have a habit of shying away from red, but it is such a great color to wear. It always makes a statement, and it’s the perfect color to wear for your holiday style and special events. Most people think dressed up in sparkly holiday dresses and heels when they think of holiday style, but yeah, my holiday style has changed a bit over the last 2 years. I still love a good dress for special events, but I am totally a jeans and heels kind of girl these days.

We had our first Christmas dinner this past Sunday with Shane’s family, and this is what I wore – a plaid top, cardi, destructed jeans and my new laceup heels. I feel like plaids are always so festive for the holidays, and these heels add just the perfect touch to dress up my casual “mom” holiday look. After going back for turkey and dressing twice and then chasing Leighton around the house, I was happy to be wearing a casual holiday style on Sunday.
