It’s back to school time! I recently shared that Leighton just moved up to the 3 year old class about a month ago. It was a surprise for us. She had just got potty trained, so they decided to go ahead and move her up a few months before her 3rd birthday. With that comes a brand new set of teachers. We loved her old teachers and are going to miss them so much, but we wanted to work on making something sweet and special for her new teacher with the start of the new school year.
While stocking up on some school supplies at
CVS, I decided to pick up a few extra things to work on a fun little craft idea. I think this fun little pencil flower arrangement would be such a cute little idea for your children’s new teachers this year. And these gifts for teachers are SO fun to make with your child!
Gifts For Teachers – Pencil Flower Arrangement
1 Flower Pot
1 Bag of Easter Grass
1 Brick of Floral Foam
Start by cutting off the sides (or tearing) your floral foam so that it fits into your flower pot. Put it in the pot and then add some of the Easter grass on top of it. Next take your post-it notes or colored construction paper and draw different flowers on them. We stuck with tulips and daisies, but feel free to draw any kind that you like! After drawing all your flowers, cut them out. For the daisies, we used the eraser end of the pencil to trace a circle in the middle and then cut that out too. For the tulips, we didn’t since they would go on the front of the pencils instead of the top. For the daisies, poke the pencil through the hole and then insert them into the foam. For the tulips, add some mounting putty to the back, stick them to the front of the pencil and then poke the pencil through the foam. This craft idea is super easy but is such a fun and unexpected gift!
Be sure to also leave the teacher with all the extra pencils, mounting putty, construction paper and post-it notes too for their supplies. = ) Now your teacher will have flowers that will last them all year long. When it comes to school season, there is SO much to do to prepare – clothing shopping, grocery shopping and prepping for lunches and school supplies. But there are also important things like getting your physicals or health exams.
CVS is one of my favorite places to not only stock up on those back to school supplies but to also stop by to fill prescriptions. And their
Minute Clinic is fast and convenient for physicals and health exams before school starts. You can usually always find a CVS and Minute Clinic near you to keep you stocked up on supplies and healthy this school season. Have you stopped by
CVS lately? Do you make gifts for teachers too?
This is such a cute idea for a gift!

This idea is so cute! It reminds me of some of the crafts my Mom and I would do when I was little.
