Neon and our classic leather Reebok sneakers. I don’t know about y’all, but when I think of elementary school, middle and even high school, I can’t help think of Reebok shoes. They were created in 1983 (a pretty good year if you ask me!) = ) and were actually the first running shoe ever made with premium leather. Originally Reebok shoes were made to be running shoes, but these days, they are more of a classic shoe. From running to working out, to street style or even casual athleisure looks, Reebok is perfect for it all.
One of my favorite thing about Reebok shoes has always been that they come in SO many colors. I will be the first to admit that I love matching my shoes to my outfits, and sneakers are no different. I have black, gray, white, pink, yellow and I’ll definitely be adding more colors to my collection soon, since they simply are some of the best workout shoes I have. And I am obsessed with Leighton’s little pastel peach colored pair. I love that they go beyond just fitness – they really make a statement even when you’re not working out.
As Leighton has gotten older, she has really loved working out with me (most) days. Granted it might only last for 5 minutes, but I’ll take every stretch, pushup and flutter kick that she wants to do with me. And honestly, I think it is such a great habit to start teaching at a young age. It’s important to teach our children that it is good for our health to stay active each day, even if it’s only for 15 or 30 minutes.
