Reactivate it to view this content.We’ve already had one semi-formal wedding to attend this year, and Leighton and I will be in New York this week for fashion week with quite a few shows and parties to attend.Β It’s not quite as often that I have a semi-formal outfit to wear, but when I do, I like to make sure I am prepared.Β Β I’m sharing the rules below of how to choose your semi formal outfit and show up to your event perfectly dressed.Β I always say you would rather show up overdressed than underdressed!
1.Β A LBD.Β I prefer ones that are comfortable and have a hemline of at least to the knees or below to keep it classy.Β = )
2.Β A Classic pair of heels.Β My go-to shoes for a semi formal outfit are nude, black or metallic heeled sandals.Β They are such a great staple that I reach for most anytime I have an event to get dressed up for.
3.Β A small bag or clutch.Β The last thing you want to do when showing up to a semi-formal event is to have a huge big shoulder bag draped over your shoulder.Β A smaller bag will help you to look even more put together and dressier.
4.Β Statement jewelry.Β I love throwing on 1 or 2 statement jewelry pieces, but this is especially true for special events.Β They really elevate the outfit and make them stand out.Β I recently received these pretty tassel earrings and tassel bracelet from 7 Charming Sisters, and I love how they complete my semi formal outfit here.
