Petite Fashion Tips You Should Know

The holiday season is in full swing y’all, and I’ve been searching for some of the perfect looks to wear this season. One of the biggest problems I always have is finding fashionable and affordable styles that actually fit.  Most of y’all know I am only 5’2, so most days it can be a struggle to find something that I don’t have to take to my tailor.  That is until I found the petite NY Collection at Macy’s.

The petite NY Collection at Macy’s is actually affordable, and it’s full of pieces that are perfect for the holidays.  Think sparkle, lace, knits, metallic hues, embroidery, festive colors and fun detailing.  I have been obsessed with velvet this year and immediately fell in love with this pretty petite velvet dress from NY Collection.  It is RARE that I find a dress that fits right off the rack, but with this one, it fit me perfectly!  I love the cap sleeves and that the neckline isn’t too low.  The length of the dress is perfect, and the waist hits right at the correct spot.  The dress is already perfectly tailored for us petite girls.  = )

I also picked up this beautiful and flattering striped sweater dress.  This midi dress hits perfectly below the knee (instead of at my ankle!), and has a slit that hits at the knee on the side of the dress.  It perfectly hugs my body, and the v-neck helps to elongate my body too.  And the best part about this dress (besides it looking like it was made for me) is that it is actually machine washable!  I think the stripes and pretty deep red and blue hues look perfect for the holidays.  It would look just as great topped with a leather jacket and booties for a night out.
