10 Snow Day Bucket List Things to Do with Your Kids

Needing some boredom busters for those dreary snow days? I’m sharing 10 snow day bucket list activities to add to your day!

Happy snow day y’all! We have been having a blast out in the snow this week with the kids. It has been cooooldddd, but it has been so fun too! I know it may be cold, wet and a little yucky for we adults, but the kids look forward to a snow day so much each year! It is literally the highlight of winter for them. So bundle up and get out there and have some fun with them! Then you can cozy up by the fire afterwards. = )

Snow Day Bucket List

1.) Make snow cream together – It is SO easy and so yummy! Just mix together 1 tbsp of vanilla extract, 1/3 cup of sugar, 1 cup of milk (I use almond milk) and stir together. Then add in 8 cups of fresh, fluffy snow and mix. Of course since we are a chocolate ice cream loving family, we add Hershey’s chocolate syrup on top. Enjoy!

2.) Make snow angels – This was the first thing Leighton insisted on doing. This never gets old!

3.) Go sledding – We had a couple sleds, but we also made our own sleigh several years ago when we took Leighton, Amelia and Annie. We love pulling around the sleigh behind the 4wheeler. It’s a favorite for the kids!

4.) Build a snowman – Grayson was so proud of his adorable little snowman he made. = )

5.) Go on a scavenger hunt – When everything is covered in white snow, this is the perfect time to have a scavenger hunt and search for things sticking out like acorns, leaves, rocks, sticks, icicles. Kids love playing outdoors, and they always love a good hunt!

6.) Have a snowball fight – I got blasted with snowballs the moment I walked outside, and it was so much fun!

7.) Build an igloo – Do something different other than just your snowman. Build an igloo! Let their creativity run wild while they build their version of a snow igloo!

8.) Make paper snowflakes – Once you come inside to warm up, it’s time to do a fun little art project and create paper snowflakes with construction paper (or any paper you have) and scissors.

9.) Make a snow globe together or bake snow globe cookies – This has been on our list this winter and looks so fun! Depending on whether you are having a sweet tooth or want to make something that you can keep as a keepsake forever, make a snow globe or bake snow globe cookies.

10.) Drink hot chocolate by the fire – Now it’s time to warm up with a chocolatey beverage, yum!

We have already crossed most everything off our list. Now just to make some snow globes. Then here’s hoping to some spring weather soon lol! Have y’all had any snow days this year?
