Have you ever been to the Peabody to see the ducks march? If you have, you’re not alone! Most everyone has. It’s a tradition here in the South! People come from all over the world to see the famous Peabody ducks march from their duck palace down to the lobby of the hotel to play in the fountain all day. The girls have loved watching them for years too. So much so that we have had them be Honorary Duckmasters 3 times now, and they have loved it every single time! Next year, Grayson will be joining them too once he gets just a little older.

If you’ve ever watched the ducks march and you have kids, you might be thinking, how can I sign my kids up to be honorary Duckmasters? Well, I’ll tell you! Right here is the Ducky Day package that you can book to stay at the Peabody while being the Honorary Duckmaster. You won’t regret it, and your kids will remember it forever and request it each year!
Being an Honorary Duckmaster isn’t just about helping to lead the ducks. The title comes with so much more! It comes with a special brass tipped duck cane, a t-shirt, a rubber ducky, a certificate and treats from the hotel. It makes it such a special day for the kids! The girls got hot chocolate with mini rubber duckies, and they felt so special!
When you first arrive at the hotel, you will get a reserved table in the lobby of the Peabody. After the Duckmaster talks and makes some announcements, he will introduce the Honorary Duckmaster(s). Then they will follow him up the elevator to the rooftop. He will let the ducks out of their palace, and then the kids will help lead them back to the elevator and then across the lobby and the red carpet over to the fountain. It is such a fun and special moment for them! And it’s such a great way to spend the day with your kids.
