Ways to Boost Your Health and Fitness Routine this Spring
About this time of year, most people who made health goals start for the new year start to give up. Well, not me! Y’all know that I am NOT about the cardio. With your health, consistency is much more important than intensity. Now is the time to get outside and change up your workout! I am not a big treadmill fan, so I walk outdoors year-round, but the great thing about the weather right now is how amazing it feels. So get outdoors for your walks and workouts! I usually go for walks at night, but in the spring, I love adding in morning and afternoon walks too. Vitamin D is so important anyways that it’s the perfect way to get in some vitamin d, some movement and some sunshine that will boost your mood.
Try a new sport. When we start getting bored with our workouts, it’s a great time to change things up. I just signed up for tennis lessons and cannot wait to start this month! It’s a great way to try something new, get in a workout and meet new people. It’s definitely a win win! And who knows, you might end up really loving the sport or being great at it. This is the best time to step out of your comfort zone.
Get a new workout outfit. This is a great way to boost your motivation, your self confidence and to get you excited to workout again. There is nothing quite like a new fitness look. = ) And with so many cute workout brands and pieces these days, it shouldn’t be hard. For extra motivation, get an outfit in a bright color or fun floral print. = ) Trust me, it really does get you going! I put it on first thing in the morning to make sure that I get my workout in first!
I hope these tips helps you to stay motivated as much as they have been helping me lately. What are your health and well goals this year? What helps keep you motivated?
Great tips!
