Leather & Cutouts

Happy Friday ladies!!!!  Was this not the longest week ever?  It was a busy, but good week.  Some of you may have already seen this on Instagram last week, but I won a $275 dress from Devon Rachel!  She wore a gorgeous Laundry by Shelli Segal faux leather cutout dress in her post and was giving the same one away to the person who styled it best.  I didn’t get a chance to style it last night, but I tried it on really quickly so I could show you.  It completely made my day, and I just can’t wait to wear this dress out!

Last night Shane and I went and got hot wings from Movie and Pizza Co.  50 cent wings every Thursday, woohoo.  It was 62 degrees yesterday, so it felt wonderful outside, but it rained all day.  If it wasn’t for that, yesterday definitely would have called for a pair of shorts.  To wear to the restaurant, I just threw on my favorite skinnies, my red blazer, my favorite scarf and one of Shane’s J. Crew tees.  The tee says “Ski Lake Tahoe” on it and is really making me want to go snow skiing soon!  Why are guy’s tees always the softest?  I love wearing his shirts.  Luckily, he wears a size medium so I can just wear his with them being only a little oversized.  I was at Banana Republic a few weeks back during their great Christmas sale and ended up even getting one of their men’s vintage tees in a size small for me.  It was so soft and comfortable and fit better than the women’s do in my opinion.  I’m definitely not against shopping in the men’s section or my husband’s closet if need be.  This blazer is not only my new favorite blazer, it’s also my first and only blazer.  I’ve been wanting to get one for a while, but was looking for one with just the right amount of structure so it didn’t look too stuffy but I didn’t want it to be too loose.  This one is just perfect, and it costs less than $30 from Kohl’s!  They have it in navy blue also.  If you’ve been debating on getting one too, you should definitely check this one out.  It instantly makes an look a little more polished.  What do you think about blazers?
