Mary Kate and I took our first beach trip of the year last week, and it was nice to have a day to relax! But, goodness it was hot and humid! I felt like it came on quickly this year. Lounging by the pool is so nice, but it is essential to prepare to keep cool and protected from the sun to make sure you have plenty of fun! If you’ve got a fun pool day, beach day or even a day at the splash pad or water park coming up, I’m sharing my 10 favorites to pack with me. Keep reading for more.

Pool and Beach Day Essentials

1.) Flattering, stay put swimsuit – Dillard’s has SO many great options, you really can’t go wrong with any of them. One of my favorite brands is Antonio Melani. The quality is just wonderful!

2.) Large beach towel – Size does matter! I love a super big beach towel. They’re great for not only drying off, but laying on for multiple people.

3.) Foldable visor – This visor is great for sun protection, and it folds down small and fits in your bag.

4. ) Comfy sandals – These sandals have the comfiest footbed! Perfect for walking and lounging around in.

5.) Good read – This one is next on my list!

6.) Tinted sunscreen & lip balm with spf – Love this brand and their products. My dermatologist recommends them, and the tint in the sunscreen is great to use on your face!

7.) Cute coverup – I am obsessed with this coverup! The color is just to die for!

8.) Large beach bag – LOVE the size of this bag, and it’s waterproof! Throw a small little waterproof bag in here to put swimsuits or keys, lip balm, wallet, etc in.

9.) Hair clip – My favorite hair clips, and they are fairly hard to break. Win!

10.) Sunglasses – My favorite new sunglasses. They are so flattering on everyone!
