Can you believe summer is about to come to an end, and school is about to start back?! I cannot, but it doesn’t have to be a bad thing! You can make going back to school a fun thing! And a great way to do that is to throw a back to school party. Leighton has been asking nonstop for a back to school party this year for 4th grade, so I wanted to share some of the fun ideas that we have debated between for a beginning of school celebration!
.) Ice Cream Social – Have an ice cream food truck come, or make your own ice cream bar with lots of different toppings and invite all your kids’ friends over for fun!
.) Pool Party – If you don’t have access to a pool, a slip n’ slide or inflatable water slide you can rent for the day would be a great idea too!
.) Pizza Party – This never gets old! Pizza, parties and friends?? Yes please!
.) Movie & Popcorn Party under the Stars – Put up a projector screen outside and tents or sleeping bags and do a fun little movie night outdoors.
.) Karaoke Party – You can easily do this one right at home! Grab a microphone (you’re kids may already have some), make a fun music playlist and even sit out some fun outfits the kids can try on for a dance party.
.) Canvas Painting Party – Go by the art store and grab some small canvases, paint and brushes for a fun paint party!
.) Spa Day Party – There are companies that can come to you or you can go to them, but it wouldn’t be hard to order some headbands, face masks, nail polish and just make your own little spa day at home with the kids and their friends.
.) Friendship Bracelet Making Party – This is another easy one. Just buy plenty of string, and you can have a bracelet making party. You can get a little more fancy and buy different gemstones and letters too if you want.
.) Picnic at the Park Party – This is another easy one, and it makes cleanup even easier. Order some food and have the kids meet you at the park for food and playing on the playground. Fun and easy!
.) Tailgating Party in the Driveway – Have the kids help you decorate your tailgate or trunk with signs, banners, pom poms and have tailgating style food. Sit up a projector screen outside and eat and watch a movie. So fun!
What do you think about back to school parties? Which one would your kids love the most?
