Today I’m sharing a fun, quick and easy recipe! It is such a great appetizer, especially during fall or even for aHalloween party. It doesn’t take long to make it, and it doesn’t take many ingredients in it. But it tastes so good and looks like you put so much more work into it than you did. Win win!
Keep reading below for this recipe. Feel free to add other toppings too as desired like chopped up ham, pecans or even olives. They are all great options and really add to the cheeseball. As long as you put the cheddar on the outside, it will still look like a pumpkin.
Pumpkin Cheeseball
Ingredients
- 16 oz cream cheese
- 3 cups shredded cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 large bell pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 box crackers
Instructions
- Chop up the bell pepper and the green onions. Save the bell pepper stem.
- Dice up the cream cheese in small little cubes.
- Mix the cream cheese, 2 cups cheddar cheese , green onions, bell pepper, salt and pepper in a large bowl using a hand mixer or stand mixer, until smooth.
- Form the cream cheese mixture into a large ball.
- Place the remaining cheddar cheese on a small plate and roll the cheeseball in the mixture until it is coated with cheddar cheese.
- Cover the cheeseball tightly with plastic wrap and wrap vertically with rubber bands to form a pumpkin shape.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
- Unwrap the cheeseball and top with the bell pepper stem.
- Serve with crackers and enjoy!
