If you’re ready to see the most magical place I’ve ever stayed before, then you’re in luck! Last month, my mom and I stayed at The Shiloh at Selah Ridge Treesort in Ringold, Georgia. From the moment we pulled up to the resort, we were in awe. First of all, the town has the gorgeous Appalachian Mountains and amazing weather. The resort is so dreamy and built right into the side of a hill. The outside is filled with a swimming pool and hot tub separated by a waterfall. There is also an outdoor shower that leads inside to the bathroom that clearly brings the outside in. This entire resort does a fantastic job bringing the outdoors in and really meshing every area.
Once you step inside, you are in an open floor plan where the living room and kitchen meet. They have high ceilings, everything you need to cook with…and there is even a hidden room. Inside the hidden room, there is a set of bunk beds and a movie projector. This movie room is so unique. It would even make a great bedroom for the kids next time we bring them. In addition to the kitchen that is equipped with a mini fridge, sink and convection oven, there is Blackstone outside. It was perfect to cook outdoors and then relax and eat poolside.
Past the living area is the primary bedroom. It is just stunning with greenery above the bed and a huge window on the other wall that you wake up to. The views are just incredible! There is nothing as peaceful as seeing the sun rise through the huge circular window in here. Next to the bedroom is the bathroom, and it has such a spa-like feel to it. The mirrors are surrounded by more greenery, and then the door leads out to the outdoor shower. Every little detail in this house was thought of. It flows so well and is truly magical.
Every morning we cooked breakfast outdoors and enjoyed our meal and coffee sitting and overlooking the mountains. Then we want for a walk and relaxed in the hot tub. There are several different accomodations at Selah Ridge Treesort including The Treehouse and the Lookout Tower too. They even have a greenhouse on property where you can enjoy a meal or even play some board games. They are currently expanding and will have a steam room and some other amenities soon that I cannot wait to try out next time!
If you are looking for a unique spot that is absolutely pure magic, Selah Ridge Treesort is it. It’s only a short 5 hour drive from Memphis, and it is worth every single mile, I promise! Next up on my list is The Lookout Tower with Matt, and I definitely want to take the kids back to The Shiloh.
