Castle Rock Loop Trail – This hike is in Tahoe, Nevada, and it is 2.9 miles. This was our first time to hike this trail, and it honestly was one of my most favorite hikes here in Tahoe. Keep hiking up higher over all the rocks, and you’ll be rewarding with jaw dropping gorgeous views.
Mount Tallac Trail – This hike is strenuous at almost 10 miles, but it is 100% worth it!
Picnic Rock – Right under 3 miles, this short hike is pretty easy with pretty views. Matt and I packed a picnic to enjoy together at the end of our hike. = )
Cave Rock – This is a quick hike in Nevada that is just under a mile. The views are great though! This where we kayaked at, and it is such a beautiful spot overlooking Lake Tahoe and the mountains.
Eagle Lake Trail – This hike in California is right under 2 miles and it really pretty with the lake, mountains and trees surrounding you.
Vikingsholm Trail – This is an easy paved hike in California that is just right under 2 miles. It starts at Emerald Bay State Park and winds down to Vikingsholm. Vikingsholm is really cool, and you’ll get to check it out when you get to the bottom. It’s also nice to see the pretty views at Emerald Bay once you’re at the bottom and looking up at the mountains surrounding you.
Monkey Rock – This mile in Nevada is 2.6 miles long. It is a nice steady hike up with pretty views of the trees, lake, mountains and wildflowers along the way. Very pretty! And don’t forget to check out “monkey rock” when you get to your destination.
Eagle Rock – This short hike in California is just right under a mile. It’s short, but it’s pretty steep. The views are worth it though!
