It’s New Year’s Eve, and we are back today with another fun trend – sequins! Though they are always fun year-round, I especially love them for NYE! I bought this dress a couple months ago and love the unique, square sequins in such fun, irridescent colors. It is such a fun dress for special events and nights out! I paired it with some of my favorite old velvet heels and this fun bag! I love the slouchy style of the bag, and the gold chain handle.
I don’t typically wear spaghetti straps or sheath dresses, but I thought it would be fun to branch out and try something different, and I’m glad I did! This is a dress I definitely would have worn about 20 years ago, but you’re never to old, right?! I knew I had to pull it out this holiday season. I have already worn it a couple times this winter, and I think it’s such a fun purple color for NYE.
I shared last week that I would be spending NYE in at our hotel room, but I still plan on dressing up in sequins. NYE is my absolutely favorite time to wear sequins! It will be fun getting all dressed up, but still staying warm and cozied up inside with gorgeous views out our balcony of the mountains. I’m thinking dinner in and then a movie and popcorn on the couch. It sounds absolutely dreamy to me! The last couple years we have gone out, so we are looking forward to staying in this year!
