I am often asked by friends or new to Memphis residents what all businesses/doctors/beauty providers I recommend. So I wanted to put a resource guide together right here where you could refer back to it. I’m listing medical doctors for me, Matt and the kids and other cosmetic providers that I use too. If you’re new in town or just looking for a new hair salon or nail salon, I’ve got you covered!
Blo Blow Dry Bar – If you’re looking for a blowout style and makeup, you’ve come to the right place. They are quick but thorough and have always done a great job! We even had Leighton’s birthday party last year, and all their hair and makeup turned out so well! The owner is such a gem too! They are located in Germantown.
Children’s Dental Center – Leighton first started going here 9 years ago when she got her first tooth, and now Grayson goes here too. Dr. Selecman is just wonderful. I cannot praise him enough. He is so friendly, knowlegable and really great with kids. Highly recommend! We go to the Collierville location.
Harmony Women’s Health – I’ve been seeing Dr. Prodraza here for the last couple years and have been very pleased with how thorough he is as an OB/GYN. He definitely listens to his patients. He is located in Memphis.
Higginbotham Dental – Both Matt and I have been going here for a few years now and have been very happy with the quality of service we have received each time. They are located in Collierville.
Honey Skin & Body Bar – If you’re looking for a spray tan or other beauty services, you really can’t beat Honey! The best thing about their spray tans is that they come to you. The owners are amazing too! They are located in Memphis, but they come to you for spray tans!
Levy Dermatology – dermatologist for the entire family. Matt and I get yearly skin checks here. I’ve had moles and cherry angiomas removed. Their cosmetic center is where I get botox and BBL/Moxi lasers. Later this year, I’ll be getting IPL and a Halo fractional laser. They are located in both Memphis and Collierville, but their cosmetic center is in Memphis.
Magic Mirror Beauty – The owner Emily is great! She did mine and my sister’s microblading. They are located in Germantown.
MECA Eye & Laser Center – This is where Matt got LASIK eye surgery in Memphis, and we were very happy with the procedure, the results, and the after care from his doctor there. Definitely recommend!
Memphis Orthodontic Specialists – orthodontist for Leighton and me. We both had our braces here, and I’m about to start Invisalign through them. We have been very happy with Dr. Scott Werner for over 30 years now. We go to the Collierville location.
Memphis Plastic Surgery Group – I haven’t been here yet but have met several of the staff. I have, however, been recommended to Dr. Campbell by several different people. I hear she is one of the best plastic and reconstructive surgeons in the Memphis area. She came highly recommended! They are located in Memphis.
Midsouth Ear Nose & Throat – ENT for the entire family. I had my tonsillectomy here. Matt and I have both had our hearing checked here. I go to the Collierville location.
Midsouth Foot & Ankle Specialists – I’ve been several times for foot pain, nerve issues and dry, cracked heels. Highly recommend them! I go to the Cordova location.
Modern Muse Salon – The owner Sydnie is great! I love getting hair color and blowouts here. They also do makeup, spray tans and are about to start doing lash extensions too. They are a one stop shop and are all so talented here. Sydney who works here does my blowouts a lot, and she is great too! They are located in Collierville.
MOJO Women’s Health – One of the co-founders, Anym has been my pelvic floor provider for years, and I cannot rave about her enough. She is such a gem, so sweet, patient and knowlegable. I go to the Memphis location.
Nail Bar & Co – I first started going to their Memphis location when they first opened over a decade ago. And now I love the Germantown location at Saddlecreek. They are so attentive and have the best customer service. I was blown away by how great of a job and how professional they are. The owner is wonderful.
Pediatrics East – This is the kids’ pediatrician here locally for 10 year. We see Dr. Mitchell at the Collierville location and really love her.
Pure Barre – I definitely cannot rave about this workout studio enough! They have classes classic, align, define and empower. They are all a little different, and you get so much out of each unique class. The instructors are great helping you perfect your form and keeping you motivated. And the owner is the absolute sweetest gem, and she is in incredible shape and teaches classes also. I go to the Collierville location, and your first class is free.
The Light Clinic – I just started going here last year to see Mary Simpson, but I have been very happy with the their thoroughness, their attention to detail and to the fact that they actually listen to me. Highly recommend. They are located in Germantown.
