Last year I kept my nephews one week in the summer. They were 12 and 15. We had a fun, full house with 5 kids, and I was so excited to explore all the fun things to do in Memphis! One of my nephews is 12, and the other is 15. Since my kids are much younger, this was a whole new world for me. I started researching for the best things to see and do in Memphis for older kids – specifically tweens and teens. I’ve rounded up my top 15 and sharing with you below.
These are my top 15 things to do for teens and tweens. I had ages 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15. I always know exactly where to take my kids, but I have to say, it was so fun exploring some options for a little older kids! Even Leighton loved them! Keep reading for my top 15 list of best places to take your teens and tweens for fun in Memphis,
Dave & Buster’s – Arcade, ping pong, air hockey, pool, virtual reality games and food. This place is perfect not only for tweens and teens, but the adults will love it too!
Nerd Alert – If you love old school arcade games, then Nerd Alert is for you! It’s at Carriage Crossing. Grab pizza at Milano’s or food at Nashoba afterwards.
Jupiter Comics & Collectibles – Go-carts, bounce houses, miniature golf, comics, an arcade, mining, diggers, paintball, archery and food. They seriously have so much whether you have little children or older children.
Top Golf – Golf and food, and it’s so much fun for the adults too!
Amuse – Amuse is an adventure museum, and I’ve heard such good things about it. You can do different challenges and adventures, and I think it would be fun for the entire family.
High Point Rock Climbing – For the littles and for the older kids, this is such a fun way to spend the day! We have been several times, and it’s fun for all ages and even adults! They have separate rooms and separate walls for different ages.
Go Ape Memphis – We love ziplining, and here they have a fun obstacle course too. You can even add on items like miniature golf and axe throwing. It is such a fun way to spend the day!

Craft Axe Throwing – Matt and I went axe throwing a couple years ago and had so much fun! For older kids, this would be such a fun way to spend the day.
Main Event – Bowling, arcades, games, food and more. Main Event has so much to do!
Bass Pro Shops – There is always so much to see and do here. You can go up to the lookout observation deck, do some shopping and check out the alligators and ducks.
Tennessee Safari Park – This drive through safari park is perfect for all kids. Pack some lunches or milkshakes and drive through looking at the animals.
901Bowl – Bowling here is perfect for the younger and older kids! We have taken them several times.
Jumping World – They have so much to do here. A trampoline, foam pits, go-carts, jungle gyms, pool tables, bumper cars, bowling and more!
Memphis Zoo – Always a favorite thing of ours, we love the zoo! If you have older kids, they are sure to love the splash pad and MemPops popsicles or Dippin Dots. Also, they just opened 2 ziplines this year, and they are so much fun…even for older kids and adults!
