If your family is anything like my family, you all love hiking and the outdoors! Matt and I have always loved being outdoors and hiking together, and over the last several years, the girls have started to love it just as much. Fast forward to last summer, and it was Grayson’s first time to ever hike with us. He hiked about 2 miles and did so well! He loved it, and we were so happy to have him join in with us. It was so special having an entire family who loves to hike as much as Matt and I do.
A couple weeks ago we were asking the kids what they wanted to do to kick off summer, and Amelia immediately said she wanted to go hiking. And then Leighton chimed in and said yes, a cool place with some boulders or stones we can climb! So I got to work asking around and researching the best hiking spots within only a few hours from Memphis. We have several great places we love in East Tennessee, North Carolina and Arkansas, but I was looking for somewhere a little closer that would work for a day trip or a weekend trip. Several friends chimed in and helped me compile this list together of some of the best family friendly hiking near Memphis, TN. Check it out below!
