Unlike most sales that discount leftover inventory, the Anniversary Sale gives shoppers the chance to save on brand-new fall arrivals before the season even begins. That means you can shop everything from clothing and shoes to beauty products, handbags, home décor, and even baby gear at discounted prices for a limited time.
The sale opens first to Nordy Club members, with shopping access based on your membership status. After the early access period ends, the sale opens to the public before prices return to regular retail. Because many of the most popular items sell out quickly, I always recommend browsing the sale early, creating a Wish List, and shopping as soon as your access begins. My Best Tips for Shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
If you’ve never shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale before, it can feel overwhelming because popular items sell out quickly. The best strategy is to preview the sale early and save your favorite items to your Wish List before your shopping window opens. As soon as you’re eligible to shop, simply add everything from your Wish List to your cart. Before the sale begins, make sure you’re already logged into your Nordstrom account and that your payment information and shipping address are saved. If you’re shopping for items you know you’ll want to exchange for another size if needed, I also recommend selecting expedited shipping. It costs a little more, but you’ll receive your order sooner, giving you a much better chance of exchanging sizes before they sell out. It might cost an extra $10+ but you’ll receive your items in 2-3 days. It is definitely worth it!

One of my biggest tips is to focus on the items your family uses year after year instead of buying something just because it’s on sale. If you have little ones, this is also one of the best times of the year to save on strollers, car seats, and other big-ticket items that rarely go on sale. Buying the things you’ll actually use throughout the year helps you get the most value from the sale.
