Silver Dollar City has more of an Old West mining town atmosphere. The streets are lined with historic-style buildings, artisan demonstrations, and shops that make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

One thing you’ll quickly notice is that neither park serves typical amusement park food. Dollywood is famous for its Cinnamon Bread, barbecue, skillet meals, homemade desserts, and seasonal festival menus. Silver Dollar City is known for hearty comfort food, fresh baked goods, kettle corn, cinnamon rolls, and unique specialties throughout the park. As someone who eats gluten free, I appreciate that both parks have options available, although I always recommend checking current allergy information before your visit.
