Trend Spin Linkup Week 8 – Bows

I know that this weekend will involve a lot of studying, so Shane and I had a low-key night that involved Tops BBQ (some of the best bbq in Memphis in Shane’s opinon!)  Come next week though, I am celebrating that I am hopefully done with all my work certifications (and will have passed!)
Here it is almost the end of July, and we are still getting quite a bit of rain here in Memphis like it is spring.  Today was another rainy day, but it ended up clearing up just in time.  I’m wearing my new mint bow top and one of my favorite new skirts, ring, mint bracelet and bow bangle!  I was going to wear some high wasited shorts that I bought at the outlet mall when I was in Las Vegas a couple months ago, but I can never pass up an opportunity to wear a skirt.  I miss shopping at outlet malls and really wish we had some good outlet malls here in Memphis.  We usually wait until we go to Gulf Shores or Orange Beach each summer and then stock up at BCBG and J.Crew Factory.  At least some of the outlet stores now have online stores too!  I’m also still on the hunt for some good thrift shops in Memphis.  Does anyone know of any?
Let’s get back to this cute two-way ring I’m wearing!  It love it because it is silver and gold and unique, and it almost has an arrow look to it (and it’s only $6.99!!)  It is from a brand new (only a few weeks old!) online store called Ara Nicole.  Tamara, the owner, manages Ara Nicole by night and works full-time by today!  Ara Nicole was born from Tamara’s obsession with shopping online from home on a limited budget.  Her goal is to provide fashionable pieces to everyday women at reasonable prices!  She loves independent artisans, so she is currently adding more and more handcrafted pieces to the store, so make sure you check back for new unique pieces soon!  Ara Nicole is still brand new and is offering 15% off everything right now for her grand opening, but as an even better treat she is offering 20% off any purchase with the code walkinginheels20. What is your favorite item at Ara Nicole?
Thank you so much for stopping by the Trend Spin Linkup with The Fashion Canvas and myself! Today’s trend is bows!  Show us how you wear it – a pair of flats, a bow in your hair, a bow print dress or an entire outfit. It doesn’t matter what clothing item it is or where it’s from; we’d love to see it. Here are our top 2 printed and patterned looks from last week.  It was a tough choice, but these two stood out the most.  Look at those gladiator sandals and that gorgeous pattern mixing!

  1. Cute! I didn't think I had any bows to join in until I saw your top. Dan it. I have one like that in yellow I forgot about. Do you think that means I have too many clothes 😉

  2. The only outlet that I frequented a whole lot while in Memphis was the Pottery Barn outlet off Spottswood. Miss that a whole lot. I agree–they need more outlets around Memphis though…Atlanta has them all 🙁
