Since I had a test last Thursday night (V Day), Shane and I decided to celebrate on Saturday night.  It has sort of become our tradition to go out with our best friends for dinner to celebrate V Day.  Last time we went to P.F. Changs, but this time we chose Amerigo.  Amerigo is an Italian restaurant in the East Memphis area.  They have 4 locations, with 2 being in Tennessee and 1 being in Mississippi.  I love the atmosphere, lighting and the nice bar.  We usually only end up making it over there about once a year, so I was particularly looking forward to it.  I know I should branch out, but I always get the same dish, the Cedar Wood Roasted Double Cut Cured Pork Loin Chop.  Well apparently someone else wanted me to branch out too because they were out of this dish.  I ended up getting the Red Snapper cooked on the Cedar Wood Plank with a side of vegetables and sautéed spinach.  It wasn’t my favorite, but it was still good.  I think I would have liked it better if I hadn’t been waiting a year for that pork loin chop.  Now I just need to go back to get the pork loin chop.  If you’re in the area, you should definitely stop by there and make sure to order that disk.  It is definitely the best!  It is so tender and is almost a cross between a pork chop and ham.

For my appetizer, I had the Arugula Salad with Flame Grilled Apples with a Balsamic Dressing.  I loved this salad, and will definitely be getting it again.

After dinner we went to Dan McGuinness, an Irish pub in East Memphis.  They had a good band that night playing some middle school and high school goodies.  We hadn’t been there in about a year, so I had completely forgotten that they had pool tables.  We played about 4 games and I won two.  I played really well the first game, after that it was up to the other half of my team because I was just playing horrible.  We still had a lot of fun though.  I might need to start practicing with all this pool we’ve been playing lately.

This is the exact maxi skirt I’m wearing, but in green.  I wanted you to be able to get a better view of it.  It has 4 slits around the skirt to sort of flow open when you walk.  Isn’t it awesome?!  It’s nice and light-weigh, so I will be wearing it A LOT this summer too!

Tulips are my absolute favorite.  My flowers from Shane for V Day.  We’re usually not the sappy “best friends” kind of couple, so I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw the card (that I accidentally threw away at first with the box the tulips came in.)  It definitely made my day; I would have just settled for the card.  = )

My Coach clutch that Shane got me.  I should be getting it in the mail today, and can’t wait!!  I bought a 25% off Coach coupon off of eBay for $2 which saved us $40!
I’ll leave you with some oldies but goodies of me and my Valentine, Shane.  I can’t believe it’s been 8 years since he first became my Valentine.  = )

  1. LOVE the skirt! I'd love something like this to take on my cruise in May. I only at Amerigo's once and I had the cedar plank salmon. It was pretty tasty, but I don't recall it being mind blowing great.
Love the throwback photos. Seeing couples' pics from the years prior is such a treat to see their love story 🙂
