Little Blue House Part 3

Happy Tuesday ladies!  Don’t forget to enter my giveaway here by this Friday.  I’m doubling up on the giveaways these next few weeks to thank all my awesome readers, so make sure you check back tomorrow for another giveaway.  I have been overwhelmed at how many new followers I have, and it really means a lot to me.  If you don’t believe me, just ask my husband.  The poor thing has had to listen to me tell him every time I have a new follower, and I’m pretty sure I’m driving him nuts by now.  While you’re blog surfing, please check out my SIL’s giveaway too!  She hit 100 followers a few days ago and is doing another giveaway too, yay!

I know I really dragged this out, but this is the final part of my Little Blue House Tour.  Check out Part 1 and Part 2 if you missed it.  The first picture is…you guessed it my little blue house!  It’s honestly the perfect size for Shane, me, Spike and Lola.  Spike and Lola are my yorkies; I promised I won’t name a child Spike.  We’ve only lived here about 5 months, so there are still some things we want to do, but for now we couldn’t be happier with it…unless it was on the beach that is.  It is right across the street from the Mississippi River though.  I’ll get out this weekend and get some good shots from across the street by the river and the surrounding neighborhood and share those next week.

This is the living room which is open to the dining room and kitchen also.  The front door leads straight into here.  My othe SIL Lindsey painted the beautiful painting above the fireplace for me.  It is huge – 4ft x 5ft I believe.
Pottery Barn Green Vases.  Old, but they have some similar ones here.
The branches are from the centerpieces at our wedding, but I spraypainted them white.
Pottery Barn Armchair.  Old, but similar style here and here
West Elm Sliding Top Coffee Table.  Old.
West Elm Amethyst Vases.  Old.
Rugs USA Shaggy White Rug.  $349.05, but sign up for their email list and they constantly send out coupon codes.  We got ours for 65% off at $122.17.

I love these front floor to ceiling windows.  Our street is near the main road and has a lot of runners, clyclists and people walking their dogs going by constantly, so it’s great for people watching.  Doesn’t everyone people stalk watch?  The screened in patio is great for this too, and not to mention it’s my absolute favorite room!

Pottery Barn Eagan Large Multipanel Mirror.  $699.  This is hands down my favorite mirror ever!  Pottery Barn even has a small version now that I’ve been trying to find a place for to justify buying it.  = )  Over a bar area would be gorgeous!

See that painting to the right?  It is my absolute favorite one that my other SIL Lindsey has ever done!
Pottery Barn Pillow Covers and Inserts.  Old.
West Elm White Egg Vase.  Old, but similar one here.

This is the view from the front door looking into the living room and the dining room.

This is the view looking into the dining room and bar.  We got the coffee table and chairs from Sears years ago.  We were looking for something a dark espresso color, and at that time it was pretty hard to find in a decent price range, but now you can find them most anywhere.
Bottle Vases.  Bought at Marshalls.

Most all of the vases were bought from Pottery Barn and West Elm.  If you’re in the Memphis area or have an outlet near you, definitely check out the Pottery Barn and West Elm Outlet first.  There are similar blue vases here and a beautiful mercury vase here.  Check out this gorgeous emerald colored vase here, and I love these vases here and here too.

A friend at work did this awesome yorkie painting for me.
The white lazy susan was made by a friend on Etsy.
Small Nut Bowl.  Old, but there are some really cute ones here

Paintings done by my other SIL Lindsey.

Heart Shaped Bowl made by my other SIL Lindsey.

Tag Owl Dish Towl.  Old, but other styles here.
Joseph & Joseph Y Salt & Pepper Grinder.  $31.79.  The best salt and pepper grinder I’ve ever had!  It’s two in one.

Pottery Barn Glass Montana Footed Bowl.  Other version here.
Blue Lamp.  $24.99

Pottery Barn Classic Bath Rug.  On sale for $27.  These rugs are reversible.  I’ve had them in almost every color over the years; they’re definitely my favorite.

Beautiful piece of locally made stained glass that my MIL bought.

Pottery Barn Metropolitan Mirror.  $179.  I love this mirror.  I’ve been wanting it for years, and finally gave in when I found it at the Pottery Barn Outlet for about $60.  It has a ledge underneath the mirror to store items.
West Elm Gallery Frame.  On sale for $15.

My other SIL Lindsey painted this Eiffel Tower painting too.

There you have it.  I hope you’ve enjoyed the home tour and stalking.  Sorry for all the pictures.  I’m kind of a picture junky, and it will only get worse when I get my new camera soon, yay!  See yall tomorrow with this gorgeous giveaway!

  1. Your house is so cute! It really is an idyllic "Little Blue House." Nice to see that rentals there have nice cosmetic finishes – cannot find that here at all! LOL I should do a house tour just on the vintage finishes in the house we're renting right now…hysterical!

  2. Laura,

Safe to say I'm incredibly jealous of your gorgeous Memphis home!! I'd die to have a home like that in Cali. Anyway, I think I NEED the pave bracelet, hope I win! Cant wait to enter. 🙂

  3. I love people watching/stalking. That's why reading blogs is great for me:) I adore all of your paintings and your stained glass window is beautiful too. Is it just sitting in front of the window or is it actually installed?

  4. I would have never guessed your house was so eclectically decorated! I love it! I pictured more girly, southern, preppy. I don't know why. haha!
I'm in love with the paintings most definitely. Does she have a shop? Awesome work!
