On Me: Dress // Sandals // Watch c/o // Earrings c/o // Ring c/o // Bag c/o
I’ve already showed you a couple mama and daughter Easter outfit ideas here and here, but today I wanted to show you a much dressier look. I’ve gotten a little more casual over the years (thanks to having a toddler!), but growing up, it was all about putting on your Easter best outfit for church on Sunday, lunch with family and then the customary outdoor pictures in front of some trees or flowers. Does anyone else remember that? I remember Easter outfit shopping being quite the event. I would always have to find the poofiest, girliest, prettiest dress for Easter and then find the perfect shoes and matching little bag. I looked forward to it every spring. I guess you could say I’ve always had a love for shopping!
This pretty wrap dress I’m wearing today is one of my favorites. I actually have it in a pretty wine color too (seen here.) I loved it so much that I ordered it in blue too and thought it would be perfect for Easter and even spring weddings. This dress is on clearance right now for only $19! The only tip I can give you is to stitch the top and bottom up just a bit so it isn’t so low-cut or short. I had that done for $5, so even at $24, this dress was SO worth it! Now I just need to get it in the black color too. Leighton is wearing the prettiest little dress from Kid’s Dream. Kid’s Dream makes some of the prettiest little dresses for the holidays, weddings or even pageants or other special events. As soon as she put it on, she starting twirling and saying she was a princess. That is exactly how you should feel when you put on a piece of clothing!
We took these pretty pictures a week ago with Caroline Wilhite at Memphis Botanic Garden. I realized after getting there that it was actually my first time taking Leighton. Shane and I usually go every summer for their concert series, so we finally got to visit an entirely different part of the garden this day. They have My Big Backyard there, and oh my goodness this place is amazing. Think treehouses, swings, sand, a pond where you can feed the ducks and even more. We will definitely be coming back soon just to take Leighton to play because she loved it! Good thing we saved the play area for last or I don’t think she would have let us take any pictures because she would have been playing so much! What are your Easter outfit ideas? What are your Easter family traditions?
