This past week I was in Dallas for work. When I’m traveling I absolutely love to be comfortable, but that’s hard to do when you have meetings that start immediately and you know you won’t have time to check into your hotel room or change before heading to your first meeting. That calls for pieces that are travel friendly but still work appropriate. Cue the leggings. SPANX sent me these pretty velvet leggings a couple of months ago, and I’ve been wearing them almost nonstop. I’ve been wearing them to work, to run errands, to the park, and even going out at night.
These leggings are so versatile, but it can be tricky to pull off some leggings in an office, right? My trick is to wear a dressier pair of leggings. I’m sure that sounds like an oxymoron, but this velvet pair is the perfect pair of dressy leggings. Pair them with a longer tunic sweater or dress shirt, a vest, heels and a nice satchel. I think adding the pumps, vest and satchel help to keep the look dressy. The structure and length of the vest really help to take the outfit up a notch and keep it from looking too casual. And that’s how you pull off leggings for work! Something I do far too often. ☺ I’m so glad I finally gave SPANX a try for the first time a couple of months ago because, oh my goodness, they are amazing!
