It’s been a long time coming (5 years to be exact), but my office design is done, done, done! It feels so good to finally say that! I have shared here several time, but when we built this house, we knew it would take time (lots of time) to fill every room and really get them to the way we wanted them. It was during covid, me being pregnant with Grayson, and me working 2 full-time jobs, so it was a crazy, busy year! After that, we just wanted to save up and take our time on deciding how we wanted each room to look with all of a sudden a full house of 5 people.
I picked out this gorgeous rug and ottoman a couple years ago, and I finally found the perfect chair thanks to Safavieh to fit in the corner of this room. I really wanted some thing big and cozy and oversized, but after trying out a couple different chairs, they were just too big, got in the way of the closet doors and ottoman and just made the space feel too small. Fast forward to this year, and I spotted this chair in this pretty blue and knew it was just the perfect size and color for this space. I also added this pretty floor lamp. I think it all really completes this corner of my office.
I had this custom built desk added in here a few years ago, and I’m still so happy with it! I finally have home decor styled on all the shelves too. I told y’all it was a work in progress! This is where I usually sit to work, print documents, work on taxes and spreadsheets and all that other fun stuff. = ) I love how quiet and peaceful it is in here. It’s on the other side of the house all by itself, so I can usually have this quiet, bright space all to myself.
This ottoman is still a favorite of mine. I love the huge, rectangular size of it. It is great for seating and even using it as a space for all the things like organizing clothing for shoots. And it’s on wheels, so I can quickly and easily move it around when I need to convert the room to a guest bedroom too. It makes it super functionals and super versatile too. What do you think about my office space? It’s small, but it’s all I need, and I’m really grateful to have my own office space at home!
